Ambassador
Giaan Rooney is one of Australia's Golden Girls. A member of the legendary Olympic relay team which knocked the Americans off their perch in Athens, Giaan is now retired from swimming and we are very proud have her as a Lexus of Blackburn Ambassador.
Giaan drives a Lexus IS250 and "Loves it -Loves it -Loves it!" Formerly from the Gold Coast, Giaan has lived in Melbourne for five years: "The GPS has changed my Life." Her parents coincidentally drive a GS 300 on the Gold Coast and they are huge Lexus fans as well. "They are just such great cars" she says.
Giaan retired after the Melbourne Commonwealth Games and says life has never been better:" I had no idea how good life could be until I stopped swimming. If someone put a $million on the table you couldn’t get me back in the pool!"
Giaan has a very busy life with television commitments from her contract with Channel 9. She also works with Uncle Toby's as well as helping out a number of charities. And she is in demand as an MC at functions around Australia.
Giaan says she loves Melbourne, the people and the culture and as an old school chum of Nick Riewolt, she gets to watch the Saints as often as she likes.
"This is the place to be. And this is the car to drive"
